The Barbour Beaufort wax jacket is an all time outdoor classic, in fact it is one of the most popular men's Barbour jackets out there. The Beaufort is made with a medium weight Barbour wax outer as well as having a 100% cotton lining in Barbour's iconic tartan print. This versatile country jacket can be worn doing every day outdoor activities as well as being worn throughout the city on your way to work.
The classic Barbour Beaufort also has an internal zip which allows you the option to put in one of Barbour's interactive quilted liners if you need a little bit of extra warmth. This will make your men's Barbour jacket warm as well as weatherproof.
Furthermore the classic Barbour Beaufort jacket features a smart corduroy collar, which is also studded to fit an optional waterproof hood. You will also find that this men's Barbour jacket has a two way zip, studded storm fly front and velcro fastening wind cuffs which all feature the Barbour brand styling.

How to care for my Barbour Wax Jacket
Sponge Clean Only.
You can re-proof your shooting jacket using a tin of Thornproof Wax Dressing.
Follow these steps as directed and your Barbour wax jacket will be back in top condition.
Step 1. Clean your jacket
Clean the Barbour coat using cold water and a sponge to wipe down the outside of the jacket. Avoid using hot water, any kind of soap and NEVER put the jacket in the washing machine, as this will remove the wax coating permanently and the jacket cannot be rewaxed.
Step 2. Soften the wax
Take a tin of Barbour Wax Thornproof dressing. Remove the lid, stand the tin of dressing in a container of water hot enough to soften the wax. It should take approximately 20 minutes to melt the wax into a liquid consistency.
Step 3. Wax your jacket
Using an old cloth or sponge, work the melted wax well into the wax jacket paying particular attention to seams, creases and dry patches. Wipe off any excess wax. You should keep the wax tin in the hot water while working in order to keep the wax softened. If the wax begins to harden top the container with more hot water. Ensure you keep the wax away from the corduroy collar, the inside of the jacket and inside of the pockets.
Step 4. Dry your jacket
To ensure you get an extra smooth finish blow over with a hair dryer to even the spread of wax.
