Barbour Trooper Waxed Jacket
The Barbour Trooper Waxed Jacket is made from a medium weight 6oz Sylkoil 100% waxed cotton. Also featuring a 100% cotton lining in Barbour’s tartan which is box quilted on to 30g wadding, due to this it provides the wearer extra warmth. Above all, Barbour’s Trooper men’s wax jacket is a very versatile jacket for the outdoors.
Featuring a cord lined funnel collar, which can be kept up, and for that reason will provide extra warmth and protect the face and neck. Or it can also be folded down to give a smarter look. A two way zip with added tough stud fastenings which as a result will keep out the wind and rain. There are studs on the cuff so that the Troopers cuffs can be adjusted to keep out the wind. You will also find they are lined with corduroy for a nice feel. Finally, the cuffs can also be turned up. The Barbour Trooper is styled in a relaxed fit and features plenty of pockets which will certainly provide plenty of room for accessories.

How to care for my Barbour Wax Jacket
Sponge Clean Only.
Most noteworthy, you can re-proof your Barbour Wax jacket using a tin of Thornproof Wax Dressing.
Follow these steps as directed by Barbour and as a result your wax jacket will be back in top condition.
Step 1. Clean your jacket
Clean the jacket using cold water and a sponge to wipe down the outside of the jacket. Avoid using hot water, any kind of soap and NEVER put the jacket in the washing machine, this will remove the wax coating permanently and the jacket therefore cannot be rewaxed.
Step 2. Soften the wax
Take a tin of Barbour Wax Thornproof dressing. Remove the lid, stand the tin of dressing in a container of water hot enough to soften the wax. It should take approximately 20 minutes to melt into a liquid consistency.
Step 3. Wax your jacket
Using an old cloth or sponge, work the melted wax into the jacket paying particular attention to seams, creases and above all, dry patches. Wipe off any excess wax. You should keep the wax tin in the hot water while working in order to keep the wax softened. If the wax begins to harden top the container with more hot water. Ensure you keep the wax away from the corduroy collar, the inside of the jacket and inside of the pockets.
Step 4. Dry your jacket
Finally, to ensure you get an extra smooth finish blow over with a hair dryer to even the spread of wax.
