Countryway Gunshop stocks air rifle slugs for shooters looking to push the performance of their FAC-rated PCP to its limits. Unlike traditional diabolo pellets, slugs are solid cylindrical projectiles — similar in concept to a firearm bullet — and are designed to be shot at higher velocities where a conventional pellet would become unstable.

At the power levels produced by modern regulated high-end PCPs, slugs offer a significant advantage over diabolo pellets in terms of ballistic coefficient, wind resistance and long-range accuracy. For hunters and pest controllers shooting at 80 metres and beyond, the improvement in performance can be considerable.

Slugs are available in a range of calibres including .22, .25 and .30, and getting the right weight and diameter for your specific barrel is important — an ill-fitting slug will not perform as intended. If you’re new to shooting slugs or want advice on which weight suits your rifle and intended range, our team at the West Malling store is happy to help. Call us on 01732 870023 or visit us in person.
